is reading everything under the sun. My latest book was recommended by my pal Lucentabella at “Ewwww What is That?“. What Every Body is Saying is a book about learning to read people quickly; similar to the Fox show “Lie to me*” of which I’m a huge fan. Lucentabella recommended the book saying she thought it would be an interesting tool for the recruiters toolbox. And since I am a huge book nerd, I ran right out and purchased it.
If you’ve read it or something similar, I would love to hear your thoughts on the subject.

Haven’t read it. Sounds like a good one. I love reading/hearing about nonverbal communication, because none of us are really trained in how to use or recognize it.
I liked it so much I plan to read it again! It does specifically mention interviewing job candidate. Rather than teach if someone is lying, it focuses on discussing signs of comfort and discomfort and why those “tells” may indicate deceit or truth.
a website to consider.

Paul Ekman is one of the leading researchers in microexpressions. He has tons of books on this topic. He’s actually very interesting.
